Bigger

That system in the North Pacific is just getting bigger, today's models showed it building to 42+ feet, which means it could reach up to 45 possibly.  The trough and low pressure system generating it are almost the size of the continental US! That's CRAZY!  There's a good chance I'll be visiting some of the big wave spots next week, camera in tow.

As for the rest of the world... not so much going on, East Coast is looking pretty small, and Central America is down right sad right now.

And we're facebooking.

Alright everyone, I've finally gotten around to making a facebook page for Globalsurfreports.  Its been a busy couple of weeks, with starting the Nosara Forecast at SurfingNosara.com and my little girl started crawling... So make sure you 'like' global surf reports on facebook, and we'll see how that whole thing goes.  Another thing I wanted to point out to everyone was the addition of some new marketing down at the bottom of the page.  My friend Lindsey, a very talented artist and designer from Santa Barbara, has started taking orders from her website cmnd-z.com.  So feel free to check out her stuff, and show your support for local labor practices and green brands.

As far as swell goes the North Pacific is lighting up... could be a big week next week.

mid-october update!

Hey everyone, just letting you know that today's reports are up and running.  I also wanted to express my excitement about joining the 'SurfingNosara.com' team.  You can check out my Nosara report and forecast here http://www.surfingnosara.com/page/nosara-surf-forecast.  If you're planning on taking a bit of a surf vacation sometime soon, these are the guys to talk to.  I'll help you figure out when to go, they'll help you with where to stay and what to do while you're there.

Hope all is well otherwise.  I'm in the process of starting a facebook page for globalsurfreports.com so hopefully that will be up and running soon.  Lots going on and so little time to do it all.  Have a good day and get out in the water!

clean and small

On the Pacific side we're seeing clean small surf for the most part, but we've got swell headed our way for later in the week.  The east coast on the other hand, is having a bit of trouble as westerly winds are knocking down any chances of new swell for the next week.

messy but there

Good Monday everyone, there are some pockets of clean surf along your coast somewhere, I promise.  For the most part there's a lot of mixed swells out there though.  Hopefully everyone had a good weekend of surf and some new swells will be popping up in your future.

To those of you who have signed up for the newsletter, I apologize that it hasn't gotten out to you sooner.  I've been working on a template, and will hopefully have something out by the end of this week.
A little backdoor action for you
