Good Morning, Surf!

We're seeing some AWESOME conditions over here on the West Coast, with large NW swell filling in along the California Coast, with nice calm wind conditions.  I can't say the same for everywhere else, as junky windy conditions are plaguing the Central American coast, and the East Coast is seeing mixed results, although still some promise in the Northeast.  Winter swells are starting to stack up, and places like Hawaii are beginning to see favorable conditions as well.  Stoked for surf season to be back!

Falling into Place

It seems like all the pieces are falling into place right now for the North American West Coast.  We've got gorgeous conditions on the California Coast.  Light winds, sunny skies, good swell.  Hopefully some of this can wear off on Central America, where the weather gods don't seem to be as forgiving.  The East Coast is starting to see the deeper frontal boundaries moving through, which will start to kick up new wind swells.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, I certainly did.  Epic surf, with perfect conditions.... what else can you ask for?

When it RAINS it POURS!

This has a double meaning I guess, considering the fact that much of Central America is seeing chocolaty conditions as strong rains are becoming quite a nuisance.  As far as Californian's are concerned this means we're in for a weekend and week of back to back to back to back swells.  The North Pacific woke up and its not wasting any time getting the gears in motion!!! Winds should be light this weekend as well as warm weather... sounds like a perfect start to the season if you ask me.

Fall is on its way

South swell continue to bring surf to most of the US coast, and Central American countries.  The big news for West Coast though is going to be the start of Fall, with the first hand full of NW swells already showing up on the beaches, charts and models!

SOUTH SWELL EVERYWHERE!

The WCT tournament is underway, there's waves on the East Coast picking up from Igor.  Central America is waiting for cleaner conditions but swell is looking solid, and I'm pretty sure I saw some beautiful sets rolling in this morning through California... enough of this writing stuff I'm going Surfing... Hopefully be back tomorrow with some new photos.

Hurricane Igor and Southern Hemi

Tomorrow's the big day, well not the biggest day... Tomorrow is the day that those much awaited south swell start filling in.  Hurricane Igor has kicked up a nice fetch in the Atlantic, which should bring some solid surf to the East Coast this weekend as long as winds can behave themselves.  The South Pacific isn't quite done yet either, with a good sized one headed for the end of the week, and possibly another fun sized pulse for late next week.  Check out the individual reports for more info, and if you have any questions email me at austin@globalsurfreports.com. Updates to follow on Friday! Send me any pictures you get over the weekend.

Looking good on the Horizon

Although most of this weekend and next week are looking basically small to flat, there appears to be new swells on the horizon for both the Eastern Pacific and the Western Atlantic.  Igor could kick up some new groundswell for the East Coast late next week, and a double pulse system out of the Southern Ocean has spit up some new swell for the Pacific Coast as well late next week as well.   Hopefully we all can score some waves soon.

Small week of surf ahead...

Well most places along the US coast are seeing pretty minimal surf for the next week or so... and Central America could see some small pulses, but nothing too exciting right now.  This could change, there is a decent looking system showing up on the models about 2 days out that could bring another overhead+ to several feet overhead swell to the Latin Coast before the summer is officially over....

Here are a couple photo's from last years autumn swells to hold you over till the next one comes...

weak week?

Yes, this morning I totally had a typo/Freudian slip when I sent out my Wetsand email for Northern California.  A bit embarrassing, but we're all human right? We make mistakes.  Anyway moving on, it looks like a pretty dull week of surf.  The South Pacific is starting to cool off, the Atlantic just had an awesome run and is taking a breather, and it looks like the North Pacific is still in hibernation.  Hopefully something pops up soon....

Hurricane Earl

Looks like good ol' Earl is bringing about that surf that didn't show up from Danielle.  Size is good, conditions are clean for most places that aren't being directly affected by the storm, and live is good so far.  The East Coast is definitely making the rest of us a bit jealous, as mediocre surf is present in California, and the Central American coast isn't expecting anything great in the long term.  Hope everyone has a good weekend and gets some action in the water!
